Key indicators

Survival indicators and those related to risk factors and opportunities are considered, and twelve of these indicators are chosen whose breakdown at the state level is possible. Some terms that are used when reading the data:

 

  • Percentage is the proportion between two quantities
  • Rate is the percentage increase or decrease between a final magnitude and an initial magnitude
  • Index measurement shows a rating that has an indicator according to a system devised to measure its performance.

What is an indicator?

“Variables used to measure the progress achieved with respect to the goals” (CELADE, 2002).

 

What is a human rights indicator?

These are data that allow us to evaluate or be symptoms of the State's behavior as to whether or not it complies with its Obligations in terms of rights and to what extent.
